If a barcode cannot be read, the barcode number can be entered by pressing the 'Manual' button, then a screen will appear allowing numeric barcodes to be entered.
If alphanumeric barcodes are used the Symbols inbuilt screen keyboard can be used.
to bring up the on screen keyboard press the keyboard icon at the bottom of the screen
This launches the keyboard
to close the keyboard press the icon again
