Equipment Types form the basis of the HireTrack Eclipse System. Equipment types typically consist of a description and a quantity owned. The description usually, but not always, include manufacturer, model number and a brief description. You may have up to 20,000 different and unique types of equipment and each type can have a virtually unlimited quantity. Since Eclipse relies so heavily on the types function, when you open the equipment book, it will open to the types page.


To Create a New Type:
1.icon: Equipment Book  
2.tab: Types  
3.Button: Add New Type  
4.Enter a description  
5.Assign a previously created Category  
6.Enter a Daily Rental Rate  
7.Assign a previously created Price Scheme  
8.Enter a Replacement Value (if needed)  
9.Enter Dimensions and country of origin (if needed)  
10.Set Maximum Allowable Discount (if needed)  
11.Create a Type Code (if needed)  
12.Set a Default Location (if needed)  
13.Button: Update  

Please Note that no quantity owned has been set until the stock in function has been processed. The barcoded window will not display a quantity until an item or barcode has been created for that type.
