Transit Times
Top  Previous  Next

When using the Job Transfer function, HireTrack Eclipse will calculate availability of equipment to include the transit time it will take to transport equipment from one location to the next and to return the equipment back to it's home location. This availability checking may be done by either a standard shipping method or by express shipping. In order to include this time in your availability calculations, You must specify the transit times between sites.

The transit times are entered in hours and fall into two categories
1) Standard (S1) and 2) Express (E1)
To configure your transit Times:
1.    Button:

2.

3. You will need to add your sites to the transit time grid by selecting the button: . Once the record is created, press the button: \ and the first site is entered into transit time grid.

4.Repeat this procedure until all your locations are shown in the grid.

5.You will now need to enter the transit time between site 1 and site 2 in hours. As you select a field to enter the transit time, the name of the site will appear above the grid. In this example, using standard shipping, it would take 48 hours to transport equipment between Nashville (S2) and Las Vegas (S1). Using express methods would take 24 hours. However, shipping standard between Orlando (S3) and Las Vegas (S1) takes 72 hours and express method takes 24 hours. Nothing should be entered between a site and itself. Note the column for S2 and the row for Nash (S2) is set at Nashville as shown with the red line through the times.
