NOTE: The procedures shown here are if the "MS KEEP AS STOCK TRANSFER" is NOT set. See below for instructions if it is set.
Once equipment has been transferred from a location for a job transfer, occassionally a decision may be made to keep that equipment at the destination and permanently transfer the ownership of that equipment. The process can be described as such:
Once the equipment has been kept on an equipment list, simply, press the stock transfer button:
Once you press this button, you will be prompted to confirm the transfer of the equipment.
Now that the kit has been transferred or moved, an entry in the audit trail is as shown:
If a barcode has been transferred, then the barcode owner is changed to the destination site.
NOTE: The procedures shown here are if the "MS KEEP AS STOCK TRANSFER" Rule (in the Configuration Utility) IS set.
When this rule is set, and you are keeping equipment, the step to the Loans Out Window is bypassed, and the equipment is immediately moved or transfer when the Keep function is activated in the equipment list.
If equipment has been requested from another location, it is assumed that the equipment will return to the origin location, but the equipment will be unavailable during the defined transit time. However, there may be times when you suddenly wish to keep the equipment in the second location, but you do not wish to change ownership of the equipment. In this event, you will then KEEP the equipment, which will transfer or move the equipment to the returning location.
To Keep equipment in a second location:
1. Open the equipment list
2. Return as normal using either the barcode or by entering the quantity returned.
3. Select the equipment you wish to Keep using your right mouse button, so they are highlighted as shown.
