Many times an item will become unusable and will need to be repaired. HireTrack Eclipse includes the ability to record a service history for an item/barcode. The item must be setup with a barcode before a service history can be kept.
The service record information is also available in the Warehouse Book in order to grant tighter control over the equipment book.
To make an entry into an items service history:

Enter the details of the work performed, including the cost for labor and parts. There is an extra notes field provided for extra information.

Update. If you make a mistake, press the
button.
To view each occurrence of service performed on a specific type of equipment, use the
buttons .
Preventative Maintenance
You may wish to perform service on a piece of equipment at specific intervals. Using functions within the Equipment Book, you can make sure a piece of equipment is not checked out, unless it has been tested. This can only be done at specified dates. If you require a unit to be tested based on a specific number of rentals, you will need to purchase the optional HireTrack Eclipse Testing Module.
To set a date when a piece of equipment is to be tested:

Enter a date for the unit to be tested in the Next Service Due Field.
If a unit is scanned out after the test date has passed, the user will receive the error message:
To remove a test date, highlight the date and press the Delete key on your keyboard to remove the date.
