The Popstock uses the same intuitive Smart Find functionality as the rest of HireTrack. In addition, the popstock includes several filters which are used to quickly locate your equipment.
To use the smart find function of the popstock to search for equipment types, begin by typing a few letters in the description of the type:
You may also search both types AND categories by clicking on the Search Cats button:
The header will display the status of the search engine as shown. Selecting this feature will search and display all the matching letters
Filter by Master Category
Located near the bottom of the Popstock window is a set of buttons appear representing your Master Categories. Selecting All will show all equipment in your inventory list. Selecting a named master category will limit the Popstock to show only equipment whose category is within the selected Master Category. The order in which these Master Categories appears is determined by the Sort Order of your Master Categories.
Filter by Category
Located Next to the Search Cats function is a drop down window, from which a user may choose a filter which will filter the types from a specific category.
If you have selected a Master Category Filter, then only the categories assigned to that Master Category will appear in the window. If you have selected All Master Categories, then all categories appear in the window. You may select more than 1 category by simply clicking on the category. To remove the category filter, select All Categories and then Close.
Show Hidden
The Show Hidden checkbox allows a user to display equipment that has been marked as hidden. These usually include components of composites or retired equipment. By allowing a user to access this equipment, they may place this equipment on a rental order. While this may appear to be a security breach, there are times when a user needs to access this equipment. However, it is then understood that hidden equipment has been purposefully selected for placement on the equipment list.
Only Shortages
Select Only Shortages to display all equipment with a negative number in the availability column. This function is typically used when creating subhires.
Hide Rental/Sales
Select Hide Rental to display only consumable or sales equipment types. Select Hide Sales to hide all consumable or sales equipment in the popstock window.
