Multi-Company Utility

HireTrack includes the ability to utilize several databases of information. These databases are call COMPANIES, and are stored in different locations on your server. However, HireTrack needs to know which comany you wish to access and so it's pointers must point to the proper location. To simplify this process, you will use the MULTI-COMPANY UTILITY, which is a program that runs outside of HireTrack and is accessed through the Windows program function.

To Select a company, choose the company from the drop down window:

The Update BDE Admin window needs only be selected for use with earlier versions of HireTrack.

Before you can select a company, you must first define it's location and name. This is done from the Define Company Tab:


Type in the name of the company which you wish to use to identify that database. This could be your company name or if it's a test database with which you wish to practice, it could be titled TEST. It is important that when you set the path, you select the FOLDER THAT CONTAINS the DATA folder, instead of selecting the actual data folder. Once selected as shown, press the button. Your company is now available to select on the Select Company tab. Now close the Multi-Company Utility.
