The maximum discount is entered to prevent the accidental discounting of equipment beyond company policies. If an equipment list is given a discount that is larger than the maximum allowed, HireTrack will only discount the equipment to the maximum allowed discount entered here. For example if an equipment type has a set maximum discount of 10%, and a 15% discount is applied to an equipment list, this type of equipment would only receive a 10% discount. This number may be overridden on the line of an equipment list if the user has been granted the right to overwrite maximum discounts.
