Occasionally, a customer may return certain pieces of equipment early. You may decide to charge them for only the time used. If this occurs, you may create an early returns list from the original hire list. This will remove the equipment from the original list, thereby reducing the price of the rental. The second list will contain all of the equipment returned early, with the original outdate and the new back date of when the early return was created.
To create an early returns list:
1. Open the original hire list.
2. Enter the returned quantities in the Back column
3. menu: Edit | Move Early Returns to New Eq List
HireTrack will sort through the original list and find all of the equipment that has been returned early, reset the quantity requested to the difference between the out and back column. Then it will place the equipment on a new hire list with a suffix of -ERL to indicate early returned equipment. This new list will contain the new pricing for the customer.
