The Job Reference Number is automatically generated by HireTrack and is a sequential number. You configure your starting number in the HireTrack Eclipse Configuration Utility, which is a separate application from the main HireTrack program. You may also specify a prefix and a suffix for the Job Reference. The default prefix is "J", so the first job would be J1, then J2, and so forth. Multi-site users will typically use the suffix to denote the warehouse location of the job. A rule setting in the configuration utility is available to set the Job Reference to be non-editable by any user.
The Job Title is used to give the job a name that distinguishes it from other jobs.
