Global Purchase Orders
Top  Previous  Next

Global Purchase Orders are purchase orders that have been created in a job where the job type has been set as a Global Job. This allows for the allocation of the expenses to different jobs. An example would be a piece of subhired equipment that is hired for several months. You pay one price for the hire, but then you may divide the rental expense between all the jobs that use that piece of equipment.

To create a Global Purchase Order, locate a job where the Job Type has been set as a Global Job.
Press the Add New Button and a new PO is created. A secondary window is opened, which allows a user to allocate the expense.

Click your mouse in the Job Ref Window and the Lookup Window will appear:

Scroll through the list to locate the job or search by Job Title or Job Reference. Enter an amount in the Amount column, and these expense amounts will be allocated to those jobs.
