When creating a composite, the daily rate, the weight and the value may or may not be the sum of the parts that create the composite. If you decide to use the sum of the parts, Eclipse will add up the daily rate, weight or value of the components and use that value for the composite. Simply press the button of which calculation you wished performed.
Note: If you select the 
checkbox, every composite entered into the system will have either it's weight, value, or daily price set from the components. Great consideration to the consequences should be given before checking this.
