Cloning a Job

There are times when a user needs to make a duplicate of an entire job for some future date. This could because the event repeats each year, or over time your company has developed a package of equipment, crew and transport which suits a variety of new jobs. It is now possible to clone an entire job by using the Job Clone function.

To clone an entire job, press the clone job button:

1.Select a new Customer if needed.  
2.Edit the Job Title as needed.  
3.Set a Start Date for the job. All equipment, crew and transport will be offset from this date based on the original set of dates. If an equipment list's date out is 2 days after the Jobs start date, then it will be set 2 days from the new start date.  
4.Check include ALL Contacts if you will have the same contact information.  
5.Check include ALL Notes if you require the same notes as the original job.  
6.Set the Default Status of the Job and for all equipment lists.  
7.For Multi-site Users, Select the Site or Location from which the job will originate.  
8.Check Include Equipment Lists if you wish to duplicate the equipment lists.  
9.Check Reset Eq List Titles to remove the edited titles and replace with the default (Eq List Ref + Job Name)  
10.Check Set Default Venue and choose a venue for all equipment lists. Leaving this blank will result in the original venues being used for the cloned equipment lists.  
11.Check Include Case Numbers if you wish the equipment list case numbers to carry over to the cloned equipment lists.  
12.Check Include Reserved Barcodes if you wish to reserve the same barcodes for the cloned job. Note: You cannot reserve barcodes for equipment lists that are in Quote or Provisional Status, and this function is disabled when the Default Status is set to any status less than confirmed. The cloned job will not allocate any barcodes if those barcodes have been reserved for other jobs during the same time period.  
13.For Multi-Site Users, Check Respect Multi-Site Settings if you wish to keep equipment list lines that have been selected from other locations. This function becomes inactive if you change the site of the job.  
14.Check Include Subhire Lists if you wish to clone the subhires for the cloned job.  
15.Check Include Crew if you wish to request the same positions for the cloned job. Note: No people will be allocated to the job.  
16.Check Include Transport if you wish to request the same transport for your job. Note: No specific vehicles will be allocated to the job.
