Calculating Rental Pricing
Top  Previous  Next

The Rental Pricing of your equipment is determined by 5 factors.
1.The Daily Rental Price you have entered
2.The Quantity Requested
3.The Price Scheme assigned to that type of equipment.
4.The Number of Hire Days in the equipment list.
5.Any discount that may be entered.

So for each line of equipment on your equipment list the Price in the Price column is determined by:

Qty x Daily Rental Rate x The Multiplier (determined by the Number of Hire Days and the Price Scheme) x The Discount.

So if you had 4 speakers @ $20.00/day for 5 rental days using a 3 day rental week and a 10% discount, the line price would be calculated as:
4 x $20.00 = $80.00 x 3 = $240.00 x 10% discount = $216.00
This process is created for each line of an equipment list. Because of this, you may mix your equipment on one list and use different price schemes, prices, and discounts for each type.

The Sum of each line determines the total price of the equipment list.

Adjusting the price in HireTrack Eclipse is very simple and you may select several methods to calculate the pricing.
1.Enter a discount amount in the %Dis column, and the price will be adjusted.
2.Enter an amount in the Price column overwriting the calculated price, and Eclipse will calculate the discount percentage rounded 2 places.
3.Adjust the number of Hire Days. You may decide to charge a 7 day rental as a 2 day rental. Rather than recalculating individual prices, enter the number of desired days in the Hire Days field.
4.Bottom Line Pricing - Enter a total package price in the total window. HireTrack will adjust the price of the lines to sum to the target price entered in the total field. During this process, HireTrack will respect any manually entered price adjustments, and all maximum allowed discounts. If it is not possible to reach the target price because of the small number of equipment or too many manual price adjustments, HireTrack will display:
