When you launch HireTrack, you will see a collection of icons on the left hand side of the screen. These are the names of the Books. Depending on which version of HireTrack, and which Add-on modules you have purchased, there may be fewer or more Books available. Each Book represents one aspect of the company's business.

Clip BookThis is a convenient way for you to keep track of active Jobs, Equipment Lists, Invoices, or Purchase Orders. You can attach any of these choices to your personal Clip Book and then quickly recall them without having to use the Job Navigator.

Job BookThis is the most frequently used Book and holds all the details about one job at a time, including the Equipment Lists, Crewing, Transport and Financial details.

Hire (Rental Mgr.) BookThis holds details of all the Equipment Lists for a given period and gives an overview of all the Equipment Movements.

Warehouse BookThis allows direct access to Equipment Lists for sending out and returning equipment for specific Equipment Lists.

Equipment BookThis allows the recording of equipment that forms your Stock List and is used to define Types of equipment, charging schemes and prices of the equipment and other equipment related issues.

Accounts BookThis gives an overview of all the Invoices and Orders raised against a selection of Jobs. It also controls the interfacing of HireTrack to your accounts package; it can be used to set payment terms and other related financial details.

Address BookThis acts as a mini Contact Manager package and stores details of companies and people that are known to HireTrack. Many details can be stored against companies and people, such as daily rates and venue information.

Planner BookThis gives an overview for a given time period of the Jobs going out, the Crew and Transport requirements of those Jobs and allows the selection of specific people or vehicles to requests for Crew or Transport raised against those Jobs.

Scrap BookThis is a single page Book that allows you to take Notes and quickly check the availability of your stock for a given date range.

Diary BookThis is another single page Book that searches through HireTrack for any events, such as equipment going Out or Back, Crew Requests, Transport Requests or any other user definable events. It then presents all this information in a Diary 'day view' format.

Testing BookThis stores any information about the electrical and general safety checking of your equipment. The Testing Book can 'talk' directly to various pieces of electric testing equipment.

Addons are separate programs that run outside of the HireTrack Application. HireTrack provides a method for starting these programs without needing access to a Windows desktop or the Start | Programs function, such as in a Terminal Server Environment. Access to these programs is granted in the HireTrack Eclipse Configuration Utility.

Optional Multi-Site Module - If you have purchased the multi-site version of HireTrack Eclipse there are extra options available regarding transfers of equipment between the sites.

Job Transfers
The Job Transfers window displays a summary of all equipment required for specific lists in each location. From here, a user can arrange transport of the kit to the location in need.

Loans In   Displays a summary of equipment loaned to your location. You can also create a request for equipment from other locations.

Loans Out   Displays a summary of equipment loaned to other locations. You can also approve or deny reqyuests from other locations.

If you have a counter sales business and have purchased the optional sales/order books, these icons will be active to access these books. The Sales Book is used to sell equipment to a customer, whereas the Order Book is used to purchase equipment for your stock or for resell.
